As you can see from the photos above, Fawley AFC has one of the most distinctive backdrops of any ground in the Wessex League.  The Fawley Refinery is the biggest in the UK and dominates the landscapes around this part of Hampshire. 
The club was formed in 1923 and has had various names over the years, owing to the association with the refinery.  Their nickname is The Oilers, and they joined the Wessex League in 2004 with some structural reorganisation regarding the Hampshire and Wessex leagues.
