AFC Aldermaston are known as The Atom Men, and for good reason! Founded in 1952 as AWRE FC, the acronym stood for Atomic Weapons Research Establishment! Since 2022/23 they have been sharing at near-by Thatcham Town, as the Rec Soc base has not met ground grading requirements.
The 2009/10 season was one to forget, as they lost 40 consecutive games, a record no-one would ever want. They have been moved around between various league over the years, but at the end of the 2022/23 season AFC Aldermaston were moved back in to Wessex League Division One.
