Colden Common FC is a grand old club of Hampshire football, founded in 1898. The Commoners are technically based in Otterbourne, near Winchester, but have been ground-sharing with Winchester City for ground grading reasons. This has enabled them to reach the Wessex League, where previously they were confined to the Hampshire Premier League – winning it four times!
Colden Common’s first season back in the Wessex League in 2025/26 was a great success as they finished third in Division One and reached the play-offs. A clash of dates with landlords Winchester City forced them to play their semi final away to Yateley United, where they lost 2-1. Due to the ground sharing arrangement, they have become a favourite destination for ground hoppers looking for some Thursday night football action!
