Millbrook FC V Totton and Eling, Wessex League Division One
Millbrook are one of the newer clubs in the Wessex League, joining in 2021-22.
Promotion from the Hampshire League, on a points-per-game basis in a Covid-affected season, was actually achieved by Bush Hill FC, who then combined with Oakwood Youth to form the new Millbrook club – a name more fittingly reflecting the area of Southampton where it is based.
Millbrook gained promotion to the Wessex Premier Division in 2023-4, scoring an amazing 152 goals and beating Downton 3-1 in the play-off final. Since then, they have achieved eighth and twelfth placed finishes at the top Wessex level.
Since being in the Wessex, the Dockers have also entered the FA Cup and FA Vase, with their best performance being reaching the FA Vase 2nd round in 2025-26.
Millbrook play at the Test Park Sports Facility to the west of Southampton. The complex is owned by Southampton Solent University and the university’s own side, Team Solent, played there in the Wessex for eight years until 2019. Millbrook then relocated there from their previous Mansel Park venue to meet Wessex League requirements.
The ground features two small, identical curved stands on one side, providing seated accommodation for 100 people. There’s a covered terrace at one end and a modern building at the other housing the changing rooms and cafe/bar.
Test Park (use postcode SO16 9QZ) is best reached from junction 1 of the M271. By public transport, go to Southampton Central Station (not Millbrook) and then take a 9 or 18 bus to Kendal Avenue. Find out more about the club on their website.
