Currently the leading Wessex League club in the city of Portsmouth, Baffins Milton Rovers have made a strong impression on the Wessex Premier Division since promotion in 2017, with five top eight finishes. Their best position was fifth in 2023/24, losing a play-off semi-final to AFC Stoneham.
Baffins were formed as recently as 2011, through a merger of two local clubs. They progressed through the Portsmouth Senior League and Hampshire League to join the Wessex League in 2016-17. In their first Wessex season they won promotion to the Premier Division as Division One runners-up, and also reached the Wessex League Cup final where they lost to Sholing. They went on to win the trophy in 2019 and 2023.
Baffins best FA Vase run came in 2018-19 when they reached the fourth round, losing to Southern Counties East League side Cray Valley Paper Mills.
Rovers PMC Stadium is easy to find, located just off the Eastern Road, one of the main routes into Portsmouth. The ground sits alongside Langstone Harbour and is about three miles from Portsmouth FC’s Fratton Park.
The stadium has hard standing all round with a 120 seater stand on one side, and a total capacity of 2,000. It’s easy to reach by public transport which the club encourage. It’s a fifteen minute walk from Hilsea station or take the Stagecoach 19 bus from Portsmouth city centre to Robinson Way, near Morrisons.
