Laverstock and Ford, based just outside the city of Salisbury, achieved their best ever Wessex League finish in 2025-26, when fifth position in the Premier Division earned them a play-off semi-final against eventual winners Portland, which they lost on penalties.
The club was formed in 1956 and competed in the Salisbury and District league for many years, later joining the Wiltshire and then Hampshire leagues.
2004-05 saw Laverstock and Ford join the Wessex League Division Three, They finished runners-up two seasons later, with league restructuring meaning that they went up to Division One.
A runners-up spot in 2007-08 saw the Bulldogs promoted to the Wessex Premier for the first time, to be relegated four years later. They then became a consistent Division One side before another promotion to the Premier in 2021/22 when defeating Newport (IOW) 3-2 in the play-off final.
Lavvy have twice reached the second qualifying round of the FA Cup, most notably in 2025-25 when the draw rewarded them with a trip to local rivals Salisbury from National League South. A bumper crowd of 1760 saw Salisbury triumph 4-1.
Laverstock and Ford’s ground sits about a mile from Salisbury city centre. It’s known as The Dell and feels quite open with views of rolling countryside and hills. The ground features a 114 seat stand and small covered terrace with a well-used social club
